Walk for Hope

The volunteers of Liana’s Walk for Hope would like to extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who was able to join us on Sunday September 23/07 for the 2nd Annual Liana’s Walk for Hope Candlelight Walk and Auction. We are extremely pleased with the funds that were raised for Ashley Hope and for victims of domestic violence.

It is through your generosity that battered women and children in our community can escape these difficult and often terrifying situations.

We would also like to send a special thanks to the following individuals/organizations:

• On the Rocks Restaurant and Bar Staff and Management for your warm hospitality
• Our musical guests, The Fates, for their beautiful songs and entertainment during our auction
• Jan Reimer for her kind and powerful words spoken on behalf of the victims of domestic violence
• Alberta Council of Women’s Shelters staff and representatives for all the work they do in our communities
• Karla Anderson for providing a sense of hope and comfort through her lovely voice
• To all those individuals and organizations who made monetary donations and contributed items for our Silent Auction, we truly couldn’t have done it without you
• Dr. John Van Aerde and Kelly Montero for your kind words in welcoming our guests
